the wind whispers memories long forgotten
introduction

I am a very curious person. So I will try a lot of hobbies that sometimes stick, and sometimes don't. However, it is very common for me to come back to it after a while. I recently stopped interacting (too much) with fandoms through socials and just do it with fan works instead including BlueSky (for fanart) and Tumblr & AO3 (for fanfiction). The only place I get my updates from is Discord but even there, I do not really talk to anybody. I prefer to keep my circle small. Also, I take great liberty in blocking individuals who only bring crap in my space. For years, I treated fandom spaces as a hobby but the environment is just not healthy for me mentally, so I decided to look elsewhere.

Being a writer made me fixate on digital note-taking tools. It took me years to realize that the perfect notes app does not exist. The only way for it to be perfect is when it satisfies all my writing needs. Through that rabbit hole, I discovered Bear and Obsidian. These two apps are the main driver to my digital system. Everything that is impractical to write by hand is on these two. I also use Ellipsus—an alternative to Google Docs—for final long-form and document writing. At this point, I am fairly content with these three and not looking for any alternative. And with these three, I fight my way through my years-long creative block.

As for my niche interests, I have always been into stationery as a kid. I also prefer physical books than ebooks. However, once my shelf filled up, I had to settle with ebooks. I currently own a Kobo Clara Colour which I love so much. Then there are my journals, I only went back to writing-by-hand again last 2024 after pulling out from Notion. And that led me to discover fountain pens and different types of paper. Most of my hobbies are mostly related to either writing or reading, but so much of it I only store inside my hobby cabinet. So, I will only include the ones that I am really doing regularly.

I'm a Hobonichi girlie.
My daily notebooks consist of Hobonichi Weeks, Hobonichi Original and a 5-Year Hobonichi A6 Journal. These are the ones I write on regularly.
  • Hobonichi Weeks planner, schedules, purchase tracker, symptoms tracker.
  • Hobonichi Original daily log, what happened in a day.
  • Hobonichi 5-Year the highlight of the day; only consists of things to remember.

These are supplemental journals. Mostly notes that I do not update nor need regularly but is still important to me. This solves my perpetual started-but-never-finished notebook problem.
  • Travelers Notebook Standard Love & Trip Red writing journal, worldbuilding notes, media journal, sticker collection.
  • Custom A6 Leather Journal commonplace notebook, tarot journal, solo jrpg notes, junk journal.

You can call me a fountain pen baby. I've only been 2-years in since I bought my first fountain pen and I already decided to not buy multiples of one type unless it's an everyday use like the Pilot Kakuno and TWSBI.

Pilot Kakuno Madoromi Blue + Diamine Majestic Blue

TWSBI Bronze + Diamine Imperial Purple

Pilot Kakuno + Pilot cartrdige Noir

Muji fountain pen + Muji cartrdige Black

what's on my desk
Kobo Clara Colour Purchased this one for my birthday (2026) and it is my first e-reader. I saved up for this one since it's expensive to buy it from where I'm from.
Phomemo Thermal Printer I use this thermal printer for my journals. Very portable and more convenient than big printers or photo printers.
Tarot of the Divine by Yoshi Yoshitani I am very new to tarot reading and I mostly use it for myself and for my solo journaling rp games. This is my first tarot deck and very me.
Oracle of the Divine by Yoshi Yoshitani This is my first time dabbling into oracle cards. And I just wanted to have this one to complete the series artwork from Yoshi.
anti-smart gadgets
Kodak Digital Camera I wanted to just take pictures so I bought this. It's very portable and easy to use. Also has the low-res aesthetic which you don't really need all the time. I carry this one with me for my short trips so I do not need to bring out my heavy Iphone for pictures.
Sony DSLR Camera This camera went through highschool and college with me. It witnessed my history and my dabbling in media production. I did not use it for 7 years and so I thought it's alrady gone. But I tried plugging it in and it opened. It's still working and so I made it a huge part of my travels. I don't post on Instagram anyway.
Apple Wired Ear phones I hate airpods and any type of wireless headphones. I hate needing to charge it. And seeing all the bullshit my mom and dad has to deal with their airpods, you are not going to make me use one even if you pay me.

Turning away from who I was fueled my descent to madness. I spent time staring at screens and holding my screams. It was not easy to crawl out of that hell, but here we are. Surviving. Living. Loving. Thriving.

My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style. - Maya Angelou
