about life os

Our life is built on systems. So instead of constantly agonizing about how to deal with my perfectionism and ADHD, I developed my own system to function and it took years to get here.

Life OS came from the productivity hustle culture (mostly Notion influencers) which unfortunately, I was a victim of years ago. I wasted my time perfecting my system instead of actually functioning. It became more of a burden to upkeep than a tool to help me with executive disfunction. But then I forced myself to reevaluate my goals. I focused more on the basics: a place to put all my notes, then the aesthetic came later on.

This page is for my systems and the apps that I use. No automation. No chatbots. Just me and my chaotic brain. That also includes my documentations, research, and note-taking styles.

obsidian

This is where everything is stored. All the behind the scenes shenanigans of my life starts with a single note. All of my trackers are here too including my collections, books, and even reference materials. I try to keep it organized but it is still a little chaotic if you are not me. After wasting time on optimizing with Notion too much, I decided that my system in Obsidian will be as simple as having an index for everything. If it's not broken I do not need to fix it.

bear

There is a special place in my heart for Bear. This is my first note-taking app (outside of Apple Notes) that I tried (and used) since my college days. A lot of my school, work, and personal notes where written here so it became an integral part of my life even when I tried new apps. Since my Obsidian is not synced and I've been using Bear since their first phase, I have the legacy price for Bear Pro. So, everything that I need to access on my phone is here. My drafts—which I work on my phone with sometimes—are also initially written here. Once I I don't need a note to access with the rest of my device, I transfer them to Obsidian. I treat Bear as my catch-all app.
